mermaid me and a play about a bus

i rediscovered the days of yore when i spent a lot of time in the lap lanes, circling swimming in the maryland natatorium. it has been such fun to be back in the pool. especially d.c. public pools.

tonight, my old friends, some of the guards at the d.c. public libraries welcomed me back to MLK. i went along to see a play that takes place on the #70 bus. miss bird feels slighted that we didn't get our acts together on this concept first. there were a couple of ways that the play rang true. and a couple of question marks for me. but it was fun. and it was good to support the youth of the city.

then, the group of us went along to jaleo for a quick bite. since i swam all of 200m today (+/-), i thought it acceptable to get two small plates. i got a white gazpacho that was as dreamy as it was creamy, and anchovies and nectarines. i so love sweet and savory all on one plate.

and elsa and nataki drove me "home" to mindy and mary's. i am sleepy now. and must wait for the exterminator tomorrow. again this is not code for anything. mary found bugs in their basement before they left.
