three days, three graduations

v. tired from meeting and greeting so many students' families. it is a great pleasure to celebrate graduations, but one of the problems with a joint appointment in two units in two colleges is the dilemma of twice as many graduations. the m.u.p. students honored me this year with the award for teaching. cassia read the honor and dick and gavin nudged me out of my chair. i went to the podium with my glasses and camera in hand. i squeezed her hard for a long time in gratitude and then i asked permission to take their picture. so i did.
