miami heat

is not just a bball team.

i arrived in the middle of a heat wave. argh. i am so dripping while lugging my 60 lbs boxes into my new digs.

i am mostly between computers and have very very limited email access...even more limited cell reception.

but i have landed.

my parents came last week and like the generous troopers that they are, they helped me get the house in order. karen came over the weekend with twig to help paint and to christen the loft. the place, while huge, feels more and more like home. thanks to their help. for real, i have been able to sleep at night.

i get the feeling that this is going to be a place where i can do really good work. i can see clearly how i can think and write here. i bet this sense of optimism and confidence will diminish shortly after i see my first corn toss or beer pong party on a thursday night, but i feel really good. and upbeat. and happy.
