ready steady go
introducing the 101 students in this ridiculous auditorium. the scale is way off, the acoustics are okay, and there is equipment galore, but it isn't very cozy.

natural light in this classroom is a plus, but these tables and orientation? not really conducive to conversations with each other. these are the students of "public stories" minus two students whom i couldn't fit in the frame. sorry alex and part of amanda.

i hit many high notes in both classes today including musical references to "west side story," rihanna, jay-z, and tommy tutone. but dang it is good to be back in american studies classroom's. the jobs about FAR and zoning overlays eventually came, but not as readily.
straight away the students in these classes got what i am driving at about listening and claiming human rights and social justice and basic human needs. who knows how this will proceed but i am encouraged.
Labels: first day of class, oxford, really excited, very nervous

you should have those cool round tables in the back of the auditorium for your public stories class! the kids look good...young, and wanting to know all! good luck, i know you'll be AWESOME!
awesome. i love how all the students are smiling.
