going well

but i may have lost some mojo because mary and mindy returned tonight and i am a little itinerant right now -- floating around with print outs, loose sheets, external hard drives, and pens. i am laboring over many words and ideas. but it's good. i feel so comfortable working at mindy's desk. i wish i could get ty pennington to remake a corner of my place in this spirit. maybe i will be part of the deserving poor at some point? -- if only i had cancer or children with cancer or children with cancer who have pets with cancer.

and then the softer side of sears could come through for me.

i dare to dream. anyway, thanks for all your support and good energy. i can feel each of you shooting your karmic loads my way -- as the guru yogi para would say.

it's surprising to read what i have already written as i go back to refine.

closing in on five. another afternoon shift and some more headstands. and then it's three. it's okay to be soft in the middle right?

this afternoon, on the D6 i was imagining what color bow i will wrap around the whole three ring binder as i pass it off to mary.

david, i mostly don't believe what people say at conferences about my work. i figured that they just want to come to my hotel room to watch me brush my teeth. or maybe they just want to get me flat on my back in a park in paris? or maybe they just want to snuggle in the morning with paris, nicky, and a crescent of luna bars? and don't you front: you each know of what i type.

first, to answer your question:

closing in on five. another afternoon shift and some more headstands. and then it's three. it's okay to be soft in the middle right?

yes, the answer is yes. another way to answer your question is: certainly. every dissertation in the history of academia has at least one soft chapter. it's best to tuck it into the middle.

great news, q. how close are you in terms of finishing off chapter five?

second, can you tell us - in a sentence or two that requires no more than five minutes of your time - what chapter three is all about? is it a lit review, a history chapter, a theory chapter - what is it? just a rough idea. don't spend more than five minutes typing a chapter description.

third, my teeth-brushing come-ons will forever be misinterpreted.

keep at it q. from our and your perspectives, the end is near.

being displaced is hard, but i can sense the victory that is heading your way.

softness in the middle is not only fine, it is even, if you are like me and into girls with a little chub on their bones, downright sexy.

Keep on rocking, Quinn!

Busy with my packing/cleaning and moving prep. And, inspired by Quinnproductivity (tm), I wrote the overdue book review. At last.

Finally, for my part, I am always being accosted by the conference hotties. Oh sure, they are willing to come back to the room to engage in mutual flossing. But, alas, it never escalates to tooth-brushing. For real, yo.
