so wishing i was there

i learned via gmail through my puppet teacher alex that shelley had been along to make puppets for the halloween parade. little did i know that the scott-childresses were there too. shelley sent this this morning. i bet eddie wishes he were there too.

i so so so wish that i was there with you all. upon opening my email, my heart is swollen with joy this morning. the sun is even shining brightly and boldly.

lot's of drek here and tonight i am on a panel entitled "breaking the silence" on affirmative action in response to the pending, looming ballot initiative that is anti-affirmative action, "michigan civil rights inititative" (MCRI). it's a ward connerly operation. sometimes i wish i didn't have a big mouth. or that i had one but kept it shut. at my next institution, i am going to make like nancy reagan and just say no.
