exhuasted and pleased
anu and rose arrived this afternoon. and leaped into the fray. first we ran around. then, we went along to the arts of citizenship for a learning circle and conversation with a dozen or more super creative people. and then we hung out for 20 minutes -- they brushed their teeth and washed their faces. then, anu performed 'capers.
rose and i joined her on stage for a post-performance talk-back. in between anu received a standing ovation that was long, enthusiastic and deserved. i worked so hard for this weekend. and now it is here. i just cleaned up the house after a "cast party" that was attended by a healthy mix of grad and undergrad students from both north and central campuses. i am so very pleased with how this has unfolded. and i am so touched that so many people i admire and respect joined together in one room this evening to share thoughts about the human right to housing. i will sleep soundly tonight.
