another new experience

it has been years since i lived in a geographical state, one with political boundaries. it's a real novelty to receive replies from "my" "representatives" at the state and national level when i sign petitions or write letters of concern and support.

i am not so delusional that i think i live in a democracy, but, it is nice to get replies.
