tired, bruised, and "home"
made it back to ann arbor earlier today. it's grey and rainy here. it seems not to augur well for the year, but i will not be so grim or superstitious.
i took a bad spill yesterday on the GIANT bike and i am so bruised and sprained today. i feel like hawkeye on that episode of M*A*S*H where he holds forth on the wonders of the thumb. ye-ouch. it is sore and terribly difficult to move luggage and life.
thanks for stunning august, all in d.c. i have so many more things to type, but even my imaginary friends might not find them amusing.
in sum, i made it back to michigan.

Ouch! So sorry to hear about Attack of the Giant Bike--remember to R-I-C-E, and not as in the pudding: rest, ice, compress, and elevate.
Also, M-G-D: miller genuine draft. Consume and repeat, as necessary.
And please take care.
Get well soon!
I am in the midst of my own RICEing routine, KQ. (I was stung by two bees when packing up in Santa Fe, and the swelling/burning is strangely severe). It is not that easy to elevate the right leg when driving across country. Will try not to abuse the cruise control.
Welcome back to Ann Arbor!
