heart shaped madness

yesterday afternoon i invited a few people to come over to make valentines. maybe a snapshot of my preparations will offer a glimpse into my descent into madness?

i should have put money on this. the only person who noticed this "subtle" culinary gesture was the ever astute l-j g-h.

we actually made very few cards. my mom suspects that it was too early in the season of red and pink. she may be right. lindsay stitched a beautiful card. despina made one that she is still admiring and i bet she will not in the end send it off to her mother. sarah addressed christmas-tine cards before she helped todd load pallets of liquor. (good thing i don't date a man who is a distiller + brewer because i couldn't be very supportive in that endeavor). christina + walker and then mike rolled in later. but christina and walker plugged in dance, dance revolution extreme edition immediately and started stepping on plastic pads to really bad music. the others took their leave and christina, walker, and i absolutely lost our minds.
