underbates in ann arbor

mike and barb arrived in southeastern michigan. how thrilling. we rolled through the city of detroit from slow's bbq to the abandoned train station, to belle isle, to the heidelberg project and then to the guardian building. (along the way we ran into edward twice, and stopped once to pick up tickets to lily allen.)

finally, we made our way to ann arbor for just in the nick of time for the fellows' opening. i acted as docent leading them through art and architecture building.

luckily, mike took way many pictures. i took too few. here, despina spoke about architect barbie ("mattel meets moma") and we got to take in the show, "plastic architecture." we even got to go inside kathy's latex project office/office project.

then, we fixed dinner at my house (sea scallops: yum.) and worked on fools fortunes while listening to familiar fun music. and we then turned our attention to the soup and e! "news" programs.

i hope that we will get to visit with my parents tomorrow.
