she-a-culpa
thanks one and all who have registered comments with strategies and tactics for securing a place to live in ohio. i tried almost everything that allyall outlined. and continued to be discouraged at almost every turn with most -- including administrators, knowledgeable faculty, and joan's uncle -- pointing me to the path of home ownership. or a move to cincinnati. argh. i mean, for real, even by small college town standards, it is a bad rental housing market.
but this weekend, i am pleased to report, that after i began scouring the interweb and emailing people with redoubled zeal, i found a place that looks promising. please cross your fingers for me and fall on your knees as a good supplicant with prayers to the bvm. i am aiming to go this weekend in the hopes that i can meet the owners, post a deposit, and sign a lease.
almost immediately after i learned that the unit was open, i stumbled to studio cycling. dawn played much better music this week, and while on the bike, i had a good idea. it may have been my first blogworthy idea in two weeks? a month?
still no word from mary. which is really a lie. she sent me several words this weekend which included the phrases: " i don't think that i can clear your diss any time soon but if the dept calls for entries for departmental honors, send a CD of what you have."
go figure.
i do not want to type anymore about this and i do not want to talk anymore about this.
