shelley called this a long time ago, and i didn't really get it until tonight: soledad o'brien is annoying.

i am really struggling with seasonal allergies. i am dragging so much because i am requiring a lot of antihistamines. we are maybe going to have some rain tonight or maybe tomorrow. fingers crossed. it is so dusty here and the cobs of corn are baking on the stalk. it is grim.

if i die any time soon, i am leaving all my money to a dog. that question is whose? i want to be just like leona helmsley. and i am going to leave 100K to my driver too.

two more sets of shelves arrived for my campus office. i am so thrilled. it will make a difference. now, i will be able to unpack more of my library and actually see things. whew. and this a.m. rick, my landlord, arrived (announced of course) to fix the fridge. all signs point to settling in. and i think that i will get my first paycheck on friday. fingers crossed for that too.

i have embraced facebook. the kids made me. i have put if off and off and off. but now i am all in. well mostly in.
