slipped filter

i have been trying very hard to be professional in the classroom. but i slipped today. as i was promoting an event on campus on thursday night, i suggested that they should go along to hear John Amaechi, the first NBA player to "come out." i regret saying, "ya'll should go along. who doesn't like to hear a baller?"
and then i added, "or a shot-caller."

i think that i was unconvincing in my feeble attempt to grab onto a lil' troy line instead of the unintended, but wickedly obvious double enthendre that i had just served up.

i am so stupid sometimes.
