top five ...
in the spirit of my dinner companions tonight, karen and keith (and robert, roy, juan, and emily... and in the spirit of high fidelity...) who would be your top five most influential people vis-a -vis the built environment?
i listed...
- catherine bauer
- corbu
- yamaski
- and then rather lamely, i added: mies
- and then, finally, i thought, kenneth frampton.
mind you this was all over a gorgeous and generous meal in the atrium of the polshek partners' building, a building i quite like.
the conference today was good -- stimulating even. i caught many good ideas while in the building. and i was genuinely moved by the video. it was self-congratulatory and manipulative, but important nonetheless.
i fit into all my clothing, but cracked the heel of my left stiletto while i was putting on eye makeup in the tile bathroom at home. so i had to wear the pair of super pointy black flats that i purchased as a compensatory gift to myself while i was in vienna several years ago. i wore "nude" fish nets and the black humanoid dress i bought while shopping with shelley in the village many years ago.
sp: wouldn't it be wonderful if we could go to kelley and ping tomorrow afternoon for a late lunch and then maybe go shopping after? if only there were $10 stores still in lower manhattan.
