it's still true...
last night, my mother told me that i when i awoke this morning, it would still be true...i still have a job offer from miami university. in august, i will be an assistant professor in american studies.
can that really, really be true? if i keep blogging it, will it remain true?
i am really really pleased and excited. thanks for all your good wishes, love, and support.

i promise that as i wade through the day of lectures and all i will return phone calls. especially to you julia. and googie. i was really talked out by last night.
it's snowing so much here now that the snow removal man came and "scraped" the driveway a little bit ago.

Echoing The Julia re: asking for things. Placing to the side for one momento the many many structural reasons that women are paid less than men, did you know that one reason (that you can control) is that most women are reluctant to ask for more. (Men, apparently, are jackasses and assertive, so will bother to make a fuss about their own selves. Wot a surprise.)
Must go meet with my personal stylists in order to plan outfit for KQ Legends Ball! Congrats again! (It will only continue to feel better!)
