falling into place
even though i am still feeling hungover from all the activity this term, i am starting to see the end and the possibility of a new life ---> i learned just now that there will be a two bedroom apartment for me to move in the building of my choice in oxford, ohio. and the catch is the rent will be less than what i pay now.
and i also had an email today from my young cousin sarah that she will move to bethel alaska for a year of service in the jesuit volunteer corps in the fall.
a little bit more snapshots of the weekend's antics...
there were several convergence points around the city. i got there so early that it looked suspicious. a woman asked "how much?" for my wares. i explained that i wasn't selling anything that i was going to join a parade. i sat there by myself for half an hour looking like a loser. then, slowly, some of my students came along with screen masks and a few in costumes and they started playing the instruments and they selected bags of fools fortunes bags (my mother made the bags and my students, the bate, donna, my mutha, et. al. worked on them over the weekend with me). and then, nick and charles and forrest turned the corner, drumming loudly and leading the band of puppets.
it started to be legible as an event.

A Bethel JV!!!! I have a huge smile across my face right now - I'm glad that the tradition is continuing with someone in your family. I have hopes that someday I will be able to convince someone to be "ruined for life" (although we both know it isn't really ruined at all). I'm still flying high from a fun weekend. Thanks!!!!
can you explain how you designed this post with images on the left and text on the right? i tried to do this and failed miserably. tips?
