as a canadian by ancestry, the summer is hard for her. she is attempting to cool herself with the tiled floor. she also likes to park in front of the ac registers.

for a good long while jasmine had a tough time playing catch with me in the backyard because the lawn was unmowed. i pretended we were xeriscaping; kd md was just plain ticked.

this is one of the positions she gets in to freak me out. it is sort of disturbing to find her perfectly still with her legs in the air.

she and i like to inspect the flowers. i am very pleased with the hollyhocks (foreground) and the many, hearty purple coneflowers. sarah mowed yesterday before the big storm so jasmine was happy to play on her new verdant carpet this morning when we made the rounds.
