Notice to the Miami University community: 04/16/2008

April 21-25 on college campuses across the country an Empty Holster Protest will take place, during which some students will wear exposed, empty holsters to protest laws against carrying concealed weapons on campuses. The Midwest coordinator for Students for Concealed Carry on Campus has notified Miami University officials that there may be participants at Miami. The university has no way of knowing how many will participate. We want you to be aware of this planned event on campus to relieve any alarm that may occur. If you have any questions, please call the Miami University police department or the dean of students office.
